Manitou Group - Front-end developer & UX/UI Designer
July 2016 - Present

Currently, I am employed with Manitou Group and work in West Bend, WI. I am the front-end developer and user-experience/user-interface designer. This position has me applying my technical knowledge of HTML, LESS, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery along with Sitefinity CMS development to Manitou Group websites and web applications. This requires me to create custom HTML/Less web pages using bootstrap and ASP Masterpages for Sitefinity CMS. I also use a wide variety of tools and programs to accomplish daily tasks, such as, Visual Studio, Adobe Brackets, Koala GUI, and Sitefinity CMS backend.

American Society of Quality - Front-end developer
November 2015 - July 2016

I was engaged in a contract position which had me working at the American Society of Quality in Milwaukee, WI. I worked in both .NET and Java environments. My primary responsibilities included front-end development and to technically apply knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and CMS development to ASQ websites and IT Web Applications. This requires me to create custom HTML web pages and to understand and build web pages that include ASP. I also created an online reference guide for Sitecore CMS and training staff on how to use Sitecore to edit, create and update pages. Doing this requires me to use a wide variety of tools and programs such as Visual Studio, Site Studio Designer, Jira, Confluence, Sitecore and custom file transfer programs.

YesMail - Front-end developer
November 2015 Visit Site

While working with YesMail I was the front-end developer responsible for creating a custom landing page for the Marriott. This landing page was used in a email ad campaign that was sent out to numerous Marriott customers world-wide. To create the landing page I used HTML5, SCSS, CSS, AngularJS, JavaScript, and jQuery. During this project I also utilized many different tools such as Brackets for coding, GitHub, and Browserstack for testing. This was a 100 hour contract position that ran for approximately two and half weeks.

Journey Mental Health - Front-end developer
October 2015 - November 2015

While working for Journey Mental Health I was tasked with converting hard copy paper forms into e-signature forms for medical professionals. Doing this had me using both HTML text editors as well as CX360 (an integrated behavioral health EHR platform) for formatting the various forms. The projects I worked on also had me creating hand coded reusable templates that could be used in a wide variety of different forms. I also performed data entry and updated accounts as required.

Creative Cow Design - Co-Founder
June 2015 – Present

In June, myself and a graphic designer founded Creative Cow Design which, is based out of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. For our projects, we are utilizing Bootstrap 4, SCSS, HTML5, PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery. Our projects also have us using Adobe Photoshop to assist with photo editing, graphic design and alteration, and layout.

Flexion Inc. – Front-end developer
January 2015 – July 2015

During my six-month contract position at Flexion, Inc. Madison, WI, I worked remotely developing a web application for Great Lake Student Loans. I was the primary front-end developer, working with a team of 12. My main responsibilities were to take the PSD mockups and code them out using HTML and LESS/CSS. Additionally, I also assisted the team by testing AngularJS modules with ProtractorJS to ensure code was working effectively and as designed. For this project we used Eclipse as our IDE. Contract concluded when project ended.

Promega Corporation, Inc. – Front-end developer
September 2014 – January 2015

During a five-month temp position at Promega Corporation in Madison, WI I worked in a .NET environment using SiteCore as the main CMS. As a Front End UX/UI Developer my daily tasks involved updating WordPress themes, developing new pages in SiteCore, creating HTML emails for ad campaigns, creating Photoshop mockups for clients, developing the user interface library and updating the Promega Corporation website to be fully responsive using the PURE CSS responsive framework. Doing these tasks included the hand coding of HTML, CSS, and understanding basic PHP for WordPress updates. I also worked closely with many different departments within Promega Corporation in order to ensure updates and development were completed correctly and in a timely manner.

In July of 2012 my brother and I decided to start our own web development business. Ben is the back-end developer and I am the front-end developer. During our time working together we have done a variety of projects including websites, ebooks, ecommerce prototyping, and Photoshop mockup's for clients. These projects have us using HTML, CSS3, ASP, jQuery, JavaScript, Ajax, and Abode Photoshop.

eMarketing4Business – Lead Front-end web designer
March 2012 – September 2014

I began my web development career at eMarketing4Business in Waukesha, WI. Ultimately, I moved from developer trainee to team lead, leading a team of three junior web developers. My job duties at eMarketing included ensuring all client web design changes and updates were assigned and completed to meet customer requests in a timely manner. This included hand coding HTML, CSS, with some basic JavaScript, & jQuery. I also completed web development tasks and assist clients with IT related issues on their websites and/or email accounts. I was the main point of contact in training clients to correctly make changes to their websites using our WYSIWYG Editor. I also performed live website changes for clients in order to assist the company with getting approvals on websites.
